Pink Happy Hour

Actually, this was not today, but yesterday.
We had to take our boat over to the sailmaker early in the morning. It appears, that like with cars, the one who has punched a hole in your boat does not leave a message. We had a nasty scratch and a huge tear in one of our windows. How come?! We shall never know, but there had been panic stations the other day, when we had lunch in a restaurant along the river. A thunderstorm appeared within minutes. Everybody leaping about like mad men to close their boats.

We took in every corner of the sailmaker's interesting environment and saw this woven miniature dangling from the ceiling. A gift made in Turkey by one of his customers. From a distance it looked like a heartshaped embroidery. Taking a close look at it, after the sailmaker had taken it down with a lean jump on top of his working unit, it became even more interesting.

We sailed back to our marina without top and had a wonderful relaxing trip. Very quiet times on the lakes. My husband patiently turned the boat over and over again, as all of a sudden I was in a blue mood. Everything that was blue had to be photographed. Even endless pictures of the sky. He just looks like a real captain in the distance and shakes his head.

We could pick up the cover of the boat late in the afternoon, so we decided to have a picnic on one of the islands on our return, as it was a day that you would wish that would never end.
The pictures are self explanatory: the wild flowers are beautiful and plentiful. The hydrangea's are feeling totally happy in this water area and are coming to full size and colour now. Boats drifting along in the late sun, water skiers having endless fun.

Well, and today?, Pink Saturday? It was *GREY*, I worked away a pile of ironing while watching a 3 hour 'Summer guest' tv interview with a politician, which was highly inspiring (the interview, not the ironing). We sipped rosé wine on our verandah watching the 'Cherry Rose' on the outdoor dining table, waving in the wind and the drizzling rain. Happy as can be!
And tomorrow? You will see my blue pictures.
